Final Magazine Advert

This is the original image before I edited it. I edited this image on Fireworks and changed the contrast to make Jono's face stand out much more. I also changed the hue slightly so that  the image seemed much warmer.

Above is my final magazine advert. I am very happy with my final product as I believe that it gives all the information that the target audience needs to know. I am much happier with the image which has been used as it is of much higher quality as helps to produce links between the music video and the magazine advert as Jono is the main character. I have decided to use black and white fonts because they stand out on the background. When I used colours they did not seem to stand out as well but blend in. I chose this particular image of Jono because I think he looks cheeky and like a typical male which would go out and have fun. He has a smirk on his face and also looks very happy with himself, this creates a slight story as you want to know why he looks that way. By watching the music video, they would be able to realise why he is smirking as its telling his story. I have used the iTunes logo on the magazine advert so that the audience know where to go if they want to buy the album. Ratings on the advert is a typical convention of album advertisements as they want to boast about the ratings they have received in hope the audience will feel enticed into listening. The DropOuts logo which has been used on the website aswell creates some synergy for the band because it is their promotion logo which should eventually be recognised by a large audience.
